During the various lockdowns that happened because of the COVID 19 pandemic, Summerhall, where my studio is, remained open for all the resident businesses and artists. It provided a lifeline for everyone who came here. Many of the business who did come back adapted their normal work to the situation we found ourselves in. Pickerings started making hand sanitiser instead of Gin, the hacklab organised people to make face shields for NHS workers. I thought it would be good to document these small acts of defiance.
