I have travelled to Kenema in Sierra Leone twice, to support Swawou School in the development of their new school. When I am abroad I love to go into the shops to have a taste of the local culture, Sierra Leone did not disappoint so I made this series of portraits of some of the shops in Kenema, from cassava leaf sellers a DJ’s with his sound system just heading off to a funeral.
