I had just moved into my studio and put a big glass brick window in (well Gaz the builder did the complicated bit, I was the labourer) when the Fringe started at Summerhall

The window creates an amazing light in my studio and to celebrate my new start I made on a series of portraits of people who were here at Summerhall during the festival, from artists, musicians and journalists to chefs and members of the street team. They each came in for a quick informal shot against a white colourama. This is a selection of the 246 portraits I took over the three weeks.

All 246 portraits can be viewed on a film on my instagram.
