Sea Spice shoot on the west coast

On one of the few hot and sunny days this summer I did a shoot for Seaspice who are being rebranded by the wonderful Luminous Creative. We had a magic couple of days over on the west coast with the Mara Maids. Keep your eyes out for their products, yum!

During the festival I tried to take as many portraits of the people involved here at Summerhall, which by my reckoning was over 500, I took just over 250 portraits and now I am sorting through them but this one here is one of my personal favourites. I lit the sitters with light coming through my new window I built when I moved in.

British Sign Language course at Heriot Watt University

I’ve been editing a job I did for the British Sign Language course at Heriot Watt University. This is the first course in the UK at the moment. I really like the images of the hands and the idea of trying to communicate words through simple images.

Its always good to see your work being used finally, you take the pictures and it can be a year until you finally see the results. Last year I worked with Philosophy Design who re-branded construction consultants Stace. The brief was to help them look more people orientated, I rushed madly about the country, here are some of the results:

Recently I was documenting the Edinburgh International Storytelling Festival and took a series of portraits of the storytellers and musicians when ever I could and here is the result, I think that it will boil down to be a really good set.
