I’ve been working in the crazy world of Jeep Solid recently, amazing man and I love the shots.

This week I’ve been mainly photographing for various drinks companies, I started the week off with Drambuie then I shot a bottle of gin which the creative genius of ostreet have been working on and finally I shot Barney’s Beer who are based next door to my studio, quite a fiddly week with glass.

On one of the few hot and sunny days this summer I did a shoot for Seaspice who are being rebranded by the wonderful Luminous Creative. We had a magic couple of days over on the west coast with the Mara Maids. Keep your eyes out for their products, yum!

Over the next couple of days (22nd and 23rd September 2012) Peter Dibdin central and Summerhall are open for the Edinburgh doors open weekend from 11am to 4pm. Come along and have a good root around there are loads of things to see here and if you fancy it you could persuade me to make a G&T.

I shot my pal Becc Sanderson’s gig “Passion Flower” the other day, with her husband Chris Grieve as the trombone player, here are a couple of the images, oddly enough for a colourful gig black and white seamed to work best.

During the festival I tried to take as many portraits of the people involved here at Summerhall, which by my reckoning was over 500, I took just over 250 portraits and now I am sorting through them but this one here is one of my personal favourites. I lit the sitters with light coming through my new window I built when I moved in.

I have just moved into a new studio which I am doing up at the old Dick Veterinary school, Summerhall by the meadows in Edinburgh. Summerhall is going to be an amazing arts venue with loads of artist studios, two theatres, a bar, a brewery, tv and film production companies are filming there and and and…..
Any way here are some initial pictures of my space, how I found it and some of the way though my work. I’ll post more when its complete.

Am sorting old images out and found these portraits from a wee job I did with Phil at Denvir Marketing and managed to persuade the client, Richie Farm machinery up in Forfar, to allow me to do some portraits at the end of the day. More to follow….
